A view of the Village of Avalon. Houses from left to right: The home of Edgar Lee Hege and family(Edgar was mill Superintendent); next, home of Emmett R. Suttenfield and family(Emmett was manager over mule spinning); next, Walter Bailey and family(Walter was a foreman in the mill), and the last building with the hip roof was the Avalon Hotel. These houses were on the front row facing the mill. The path from the village to the mill can be seen in the lower right.
